So I just finished the 24 hours of LeMons at ECR. And a MINI(ish) won for Organizer's Choice (I think, it was hot and I hadn't slept in a looooong time, they definitely won something). But anyway, the Metroplex MINI club had a crazy idea to build a $500 race car and theme it as a MINI. They also had a bunch of their cars there and it made me happy to see all of the actual MINIs. Very nice rides guys! The team was super nice to race with, and I had a great time playing tag with them in the Neon. Here's a picture of their build: Their attention to detail with duct tape was awesome! Notice the "chrome" door handles and filler cap. Our team is also currently all MINI drivers, but we race a Mercedes. Anyone else out there with a $500 race car and drives a MINI? Post up some pics and event results!
Yep, that's precisely what it was. Unfortunately, I didn't build it so I don't have any pictures. I was hoping someone on here knew the team and could fill in the details. It was a really fun car to race with!
We weren't running the Benz this weekend, Texas is a long ass way from Oregon (in more ways than one). We did an arrive and drive to race with team Tetanus and team Ing With Bad Ideas. The Benz races in July here in the PNW.
