Way to go MINI. Must be politically correct. She's been arrested, not convicted, there is a difference.

    Get over it MINI

Well that romance didn't last long...

MINI needed to stick with the Bulldog theme... Dogs will always be faithful....

Abbe's ability to earn revenues on her 'brand' will be damaged. I guess MINI doesn't want to find out if theirs will be damaged by association in this age of viral shaming. Too bad. Wombach is actually a pretty good fit for MINI: stubbornly different from the norm. She's one of the first female athletic superstars that has been able to develop her celebrity on, get this, her athletic talent, as opposed to beauty or sexiness. I'm disappointed that MINI bailed so quickly. It was the predictable thing to do, but not the courageous thing to do.

She failed sobriety and breath tests, and issued an apology to fans and family. I'm surprised that MINI acted so fast, but it was going to happen. DUI is a particularly sensitive area for an automaker. They want to distance themselves quickly. It took a while for Buick to drop Tiger Woods for infidelity. If it had been DUI, Buick would have dropped him immediately. Corporations are cold and calculating. It's not about being PC. It's about executing their marketing strategy.

Abby handled the matter a lot better than Mini did.

I'd heard she blew through a red light, which is what initially got the attention of Officer Friendly. THEN she doubled down by being drunk behind the wheel.

You can't expect to represent a auto company and then be irresponsible while driving. MINI is fortunate she wasn't driving a MINI. They dodged that bullet, why risk it again (as I'm sure this wasn't the first time she was driving drunk, just the first time she was caught).

She earned getting kicked off the MINI team. Maybe she can pick up a beer/liquor endorsement. Oh wait. *They* also want you to "drink responsibly". She's demonstrated she doesn't do that.

True. But no one wants anyone driving drunk, at least not around *their* spouses, kids, etc. I'm sure the shareholders all have a NIMBY position.

I have less that zero sympathy for anyone driving drunk. Thankfully no crash this time. Sure hope she learns from this. Next time call an uber.

She made a bad decision, took responsibility, and will deal with the consequences. That is what adults do.
