    Hi Guys,

Always been browsing, but took the plunge and signed up recently.
I'm from South Africa, and here is the story of my R56 (sorry if it's in the wrong section)
Also I copied the below from total mini, where I was before I found this forum.

So this is how we started out, second owner 07 MCS
    Astro black
    Xenon
    Pano roof
    Multi function steering
    Storage pack etc...

Wrapped for my 1700km trip home

in that same week i decided to go with black wheels

Drove it like that for a while, and wasn't too happy with my purchase, coming from a GTI, but anyways stuck it through...

I then had the thought of importing some 18inch R112 reps, low and behold a month later s set pops up somewhere for a bargain, (1/4 of import cost) and only a month old.
    [IMG][IMG]

went on for about 2 months, and was a little too afraid to open tho car up, as it felt so restricted and chocked up.... Also herd that these engines were very sensitive to hard driving, so i went with a decat down pipe, 63mm
    [IMG]

I then left it like this for a year and a half, due to the fact that I got married and had to channel my money to other things such as renovations and a honeymoon

So after 2 years go having this car, and having this itch that needed to be scratched, I just said eff it! and started the process.

    A ****![IMG][IMG]

    LCI swop[IMG][IMG]

Sprayed the wheels grigio mercury and this is how it stands for now...

This last big process stretched over october.

Still need coilies and need to wrap the belt line.

    Thanks for looking guys!

All comments welcome, good and bad

What a big difference it makes when you blacked out those awesome wheels! Hey have you noticed any acceleration decrease (loss of torque) going with a larger diameter wheel?

Hey, tough to say... I changed the wheels so long ago I can't remember. Sorry I could not answer your question.

They are LCIs. A mission to wire up to oem spec, I just did it my own way.
