    Nice MINI

    Clean the terminals on the oem coil pack, put some dielectric silicone on them & re-install it. Then sell the Screamin Demon one on NAM. They are known to cause ecu problems.

    Thanks for the advice, Crashton. I did notice an immediate improvement in mileage and throttle response over the OEM unit. Is there another coil I should be looking for?

    OEM only all the other cook ECU's. You only noticed and improvement because you replaced and old weak coil with a new one. Better idea is to put a new OEM coil back on.
    The RED MSD coils and Screamin Demon are the worst and the OEM coil is a whole lots cheaper than a ECU.

    Thanks for all the advice on the coil. Looking into it now....
    And I bought the car because it was BRG! Seemed the right thing to do:)
