Shocked to find the Mini Parts department doesn't offer any moulding for the antenna base. But they are happy to sell me an antenna base for about $250!!!!

Anyone know where some of that small black moulding can be found? Or suggestions of what could be used in its place? Mine dried up and fell off.

    Thanks.

I think you need to start searching wrecking yards. Unfortunately lots of parts are only available as complete assemblies.

    Welcome to M/A... :)

Thanks for the ideas but this is way too simple to require a yard search for an entire base. Think I'll start with some double sided tape and maybe a thin strip of heat shrink. I am also thinking about cutting a rubber strip of windshield wiper and trying that out with some super glue or silicone caulk.

Might want to check with some of the site sponsors to see if they have one. Some of them such as Detroit Tuned and Way Motor Works often buy totaled MINI's and have a good selection of used parts on hand.

The molding is part of the base. you would have to have a whole base to replace it.

RealOEM.com is a great source to look up parts.

Then when ready to purchase the fine Motoring Alliance sponsors are ready to help you too.
