its an exclusive Paul Weller MINI! Looks like its the one he received from MINI United. here's the link - Paul Weller MINI auction here's an except from the site: Paul Weller has always been an avid MINI fan and has collected numerous models throughout the years. As part of MINI's 50th Anniversary celebrations in 2009, MINI fans drove from all over the world to attend a party at Silverstone at which Weller was the headline act. He was then given this MINI Cooper which he designed the exterior of, working closely with the designers and completing the car this spring. This MINI Cooper is the best selling model in the range and would usually retail at £14,000. The car also has £4,000 worth of customisation (alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights etc). It has a 1.6 petrol engine and goes from 0-62 mph in 9.1 seconds, with a top speed of 127 mph. A friend who is a big Weller fan sent me this.
Think my wife would think it's just the bomb A guy would either have to be really really into pink and willing to take a heap of crap he would get over it or just flaminingly gay (not saying theres anything wrong being gay but there is a flamboyant subculture in the gay community that would really dig something like this.... opcorn
The high bid might come in from a "Mary Kay Representative" then it can be located in Dallas with Nathan
I used to work with a guy whose wife was a Mary Kay sales rep. He drove a pink Caddilac to work every day. His thought was, "Hey - I'm driving a free Caddy, who cares what color it is". That being said, I wouldn't have any issue driving this car. Pink doesn't bother me - I wear pink shirts to work on occasion. Doesn't make me any gayer or any straighter than anyone else that wears pink. Or purple, or whatever the 'gay' colors are right now. My opinion, woth exactly what you paid for it
And during the Pre-Victorian era, boys were dressed in pink, and they wore dresses until 3 or so. Mostly because it was easier and kids all tended to die so young. But PINK is totally a guy's color, especially if he's a blond.
If your goal is to attract attention, I can't believe you could beat this. Many spend big bucks to make their MINI a standout, so this might save you some money. Might look good in the Easter Parade?
Sorry but that is the most butt ugly car I have ever seen. I wouldn't drive it if you gave to me. OK if you gave it to me, I would take to a body shop and have it painted the same day I got it. Its a prime candidate for uh oh better get Maaco. I don't particularly endorse Maaco but anything is better than that, even a can of Krylon or Rustolium.
I really like it. It's kinda like a modern day version of the paul smith classic or some of the other designer classics. I would do different colors, but the stripes themselves are cool. I dig it.
And just who is Paul Weller.... From his days in The Jam [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y44UVAy2jgk]YouTube - Paul Weller - A Town Called Malice[/ame]
thank you Nathan. You have to consider the source to appreciate whats being offered. Is the color and/or pattern for everyone? no. Its not for me either. But Weller received the MINI as a gift from MINI. He's one of the most influential musical artists in the UK. He can design whatever he likes because he's earned that right. Now he's decided to donate it for charity. in my book. This goes down as one of the many custom MINI paint jobs we've seen over the years. glad everyone has an opinion anyone remember this one from a couple years back?? as seen on MotoringFile for auction at the LifeBall 2008...
What kind of straps and handcuffs do they use inside of the Police Clubby Afterall...the graphics ARE Pink :ihih:
