Looks like fun! How does one get find and get involved in these events? Are they super competitive? I have a stock Clubman, but I always thought this type of thing would be fun in a casual environment.
Hello Sound message! You can find out information about our region's events at lvrscca.org. It has been my experience that most people at these events are very helpful, laid back, and mature. It's definitely a fun time, with good people. The next event will be at the Silverton Casion again, on the 7th of July. The registration starts at 5pm. I'll be there. You should come by. A few of us from the Sin City Mini Club show up to race.
I might just do that, or at least come and check it out. I think it would be fun to drive through the course, but I'm not sure how fun it would be to be laughed at by everyone else driving at 1/2 their speed and generally having no clue about what I'm doing. :biggrin5:
Hey, we all had to start somewhere. Please come by. If you decide to race, it'll be fun! There are usually driving instructors at these events, and 'new-driver' meetings. An instructor could ride along and help ya out! It'd be neat to see more MINIs out here!!! :cornut:
