(Montr̩al, Qu̩bec, Canada) РMichel Sallenbach started his CTCC season with a bang, capturing two victories in the Touring class during The Victoria Day weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (formerly Mosport), after starting both races in second position.

Sallenbach led race #1 right from the start and opened-up a good lead while his followers were busy fighting each other. Race #2 was a fight between the top-4 competitors and Sallenbach pulled the race-winning move by diving on the inside of the leading Honda in corner #1 after a late race yellow.
“We told everyone we would change our approach this year and that we would race for fun. There is nothing more fun than standing on the top position” proclaimed Sallenbach. “I would like to thank my crew-chief Marc-André Beaubien and all the members of the GENUINE MINI PARTS Team Octane, the car was awesome!”

Éric Lacouture, making his Team Octane debut driving the #49 with ARD/Gagné et Lacouture MINI enjoyed a great championship points gathering weekend with two fifth place finishes after qualifying in fourth position.
Paul Gravel, after qualifying in 7th position had to retire from race #1 with a faulty sensor. He managed to finish race #2 in 7th position, driving the LDS Dyno #48 MINI Cooper S JCW.

Carlos Tesler-Mabe from Vancouver had a trying weekend as his main car had a technical issue in Friday testing. The team undertook to transfer him in the back-up car and he managed to finish in 7th and 8th position.
Team partners include MINI Canada through their generous contingency program, MINI GENUINE PARTS, Castrol, LDS Dyno, Bully Clutch, Revolution MINI Works, Perry Auto, Carrosserie Touchette, La Clinique du Pneu Granby, Lettrage Raoul, ASG Accessoire de Soudure Granby, SoCal Sport Cars, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes and Carbotech Brakes.

The Canadian Touring Car Championship presented by Continental tire’s next event will be in Montréal the weekend of June 7-9 during the Canadian F1 Grand-Prix. The Championship competes throughout 7 weekends of racing. Details are available at CTCC: Canadian Touring Car Championship.

Team Octane competes in the Touring Class of the championship and is looking forward to repeat their 2007 and 2009 Championship Seasons. The team fields four Touring class entries in the 2013 CTCC championship.

The right car, the right sponsors, the right technical partners and great drivers! Why can't we put this formula together in the states for a run in the CTS? Outstanding program Team Octane. Congratulations. I'm a fan!
