BMW PSA Partnership to End?

    Over the past year we’ve reported on the new 3 cylinder powerplant that is being developed and built by BMW 100% in house. During that time we’ve also wondered out-loud what this meant for the future of the BMW PSA partnership that created the current four cylinder range of MINI powerplants.     I'm no fan of the prince of an engine. Not sure I can ever feel the love for a 3 cly lump either. What's an old geezer to do? :frown2:

    Maybe MINI would be better using that nice two cyl out of a tin snail. Yep that's the ticket. Hey Rixter hows your labotomy working out? :smilewinkgrin:

    I'm with crashton on this topic. I was actually looking for more displacement for the R56 successor, not a 3 cylinder lump. I doubt that MINI monitors sites like these but I want/would like please, a 2 liter unit with 300hp capability. Maybe 250 from the factory and then whatever the tuners can do. And don't keep making the car bigger!

    Well I can dream can't I?
