BMW to Build Carbon Fiber Plant in North America

    According to a local Washington State TV station BMW and partner SGL are looking at several locations in North America to build a plant specifically for producing carbon fiber material likely for the upcoming iSetta range of cars.     Wow Moses Lake that's a weird location beautiful but isolated was there for about 8 months mostly Mexican population oddly there was a good number of German descent Americans that know Spanish that I met.

    Carbon Fiber Mini Cooper HHMMMM......

    :Thumbsup::idea: Let's see......Carbon Fiber covered body and wheels. Black(or other color) 'Iron Ball' paint job. Indirect front air intake to screen huge 'metal' radiaters/coolers and engine. No interior metal showing above windsheild. Et Viola:'Stealth Mini'with Radar Cross Sectional Area of a Gnat's a$$(appologies to Nathan/Gnatster) and a $200k price tag !:arf:.     Not so weird, really. Being the middle of the state, land is relatively cheap. Add to that the hydroelectric dams all along the Columbia, and power is also cheap. That's the reason Microsoft chose Quincy, WA for their largest data centers, now called the Columbia Class data center, and the model for many of the other data centers they are building.

    And talk about a strange location. High tech data center in Quincy, WA. It's really surreal driving though "downtown" Quincy on your way to a data center larger than most warehouses.

    Cheap land And cheap power makes sense was kinda thinking in terms of transport issues seems like the South near the Spartanburg plant would make sense. LoL I stayed in Quincy too, the town still has gravel roads in certain areas.
