    An engine-development cooperation between BMW and PSA, the French automaker that builds Peugeot and Citroen cars, is likely to sunset over the next few years, sources close to the two brands have said.

    The deal to develop small car engines for BMW's MINI brand and a variety of Peugeot and Citroen models began in 2002, but has likely soured for a couple of reasons.
