It is finally time for me to replace my brake pads. I have the Wilwood BBK up front and stock in the rear. I'm not replacing the rotors but as a side note both front and rear are slotted. My driving style leans towards more aggressive. I should also note that I live in the northwest and it usually is wet out although we have had a good stretch of dry weather lately. I'm not too concerned about brake dust. I'm looking for something to deliver good performance but hopefully not break the bank. Please send your insight.

I just went from a more track oriented pad, Raybestos ST-43, to something more streetable, EBC Red Stuff. I'm very happy with the change. The Red Stuff stops better around town. Doesn't need to heat up before there is a bite making it useful in the rain and on cooler days where the track oriented pad made braking a bit more of an adventure.

Hawk HP+ is probably the affordable option.

Wow looks like red stuff is the winner. That pretty much makes up my mind. Thanks for the help.

Been using EBC greenstuffs on my Miata. I like them, but they dust more than I like. May try these next time. Folks seem to like them.

I'll toss in where everyone else has. I liked my EBC reds because I could play on the track and they would resist heat fade (not as good as real track pads but for a weekend warrior like me they were just fine) and were fantastic on the street.

EBC Reds are a good call.

The more I use these EBC reds with the BBK the more I like them. It was colder than it has been in a while this morning. With the previous track focused pads that were on there before there was need for a lot more space to consider when braking. The Reds..Whoa Nelly who tossed that anchor into the asphalt. On cold tires too!

    Quiet? Dusty?

I'm liking what I'm hearing about the improved red stuffs.
My front bobcats are almost new, but I'm going to need rears soon, and may try something different all around. It sounds like the red stuffs have bite somewhere between the bobcats and the ax6. If so, and if they're quiet and not super dusty, that may be what I want...

We have EBC Reds on my wife's R53, and on my R53 I have been using Hawk HPS for street driving for quite awhile. We like both pads. The Hawk HPS pads have a great cold or normal street driving bite, and they don't don't dust up my white street wheels - a big plus in my book!

Quiet, maybe, if you put in the anti-squal backer they supply with the pads. Being mine is a "stock car ad shape" to fit the BBK they send along a backer you have to cut out. I didn't bother so when I'm light on the brakes around town they make noise. Like a damn Semi. Sure gets you noticed though.

Dusty, ummm, I've not washed the car since before I made the change. Can't report.

Chuck how are you finding the production of brake dust with the reds?

    Chuck....

Found no improvement in brake dust.... Same as OEM in my opinion.... But much better stopping... So, it's an improvement...
