Recently , on another forum, someone posted that they purchased some 16" wheels with Bridgestone RE11's in 205/50/16. I questioned the poster on the size of the tire and he replied that they were purchased in Japan. Checking several U.S. sites (tirerack, ect) they do not list that size available.
Do different vendors have different sizes availabe in the U.S.? Does anyone know where to purchase that size in RE11?
I have been looking at the Dunlop Star Spec but I am a little lery as to all the complaints on tire noise.
    Thanks, Steve

one thing about tires...ignore the sizes. shop by what fits your rim width and overall diameter (OD). Bridgestone RE-01R and the RE-11 that replaced it as well as Advan AD08's and the Dunlop Star Specs are known to run much wider than their size suggests. A 255 width in any of these is generally wider than a normal 265 width.

So, don't get hung up on sizes. That said, I always found 16" VERY hard to find good rubber for in the MINI range....15" and 17" rubber was much simpler. I ran 225/45/16 Yoko rcomps on 7.5" wheels for my auto-x set....worked great.
