4 side doors and a hatch on a Clubman? Sounds like a Countryman to me. I don't think he even knows which car he's talking about.

So is our Clubman missing a door, or did they add a door for 2012:crazy:

I hope that too many won't get their shorts in a knot. He's expressing his opinions, and most us who love our MINI are not foolish enough to think everyone loves them.

Do you suppose that his phrase, " for those of us easily separated from our money" describes some MINI owners?

Sounds like an inept editor hacked his article to make space for coupons.

No reply to my inquiry from Warren Brown. I think he has been deluged with reminders of his errors. I expect we will see something of an explanation in next Sunday's Washington Post. Some readers are asking for a complete redo of the article.

I am surprised and disappointed that Mr. Brown made no apologies in his column today in the Washington Post for his confusion over the Clubman and Countryman and no explanation of which one he actually reviewed last week. He did not reply to my inquiry nor to the several other on-line criticisms his column generated. I probably cannot recognize errors in his reviews of other cars, but now I wonder if his sloppy reporting of the Mini (and no corrections) extend to his other reviews which I always read. How simple it would be for him to restore the respect he has always garnered from me and his other readers.

He could be much better served if he allowed us to proof read his articles before publishing the errors....:p

Mr. Brown finally acknowledged the errors in his article during the online discussion of Friday. Here is what he had to say:

My sincere apologies. That kind of confusion won't happen again. The references were to the Clubman. I should have made that clear.
