I'm getting a buzzing noise from my AUTO Hvac air/temp sampler fan and getting quite annoying.

All my BMWs had this issue but the ones from the BMW looks like a small PC fan and was cleanable.

The one from the MINi looks a little different.

Has anyone successfully cleaned one out?

Did you try replacing the filter? If it’s old or has never been changed it could be full of crud and it’s close to the fan blades

I had this happen on my R53 with manual AC. A bunch of maple tree helicopters were in & around the filter making a lot of noise.

The cabin filter? If so yes. One of the first things I do when I buy a used car.

Is there another filter for the HVAC?

That is the only filter I'm aware of. Maybe some crud got into the fan housing.

I'll be installing the Grom BT3 so I will take a look when I remove the radio.

Yes the cabin filter is what I was talking about. No other HVAC filters
