...well, so much for Mellow Yellow...it was bought by a good friend and was destroyed just days later by a tree. Sad to see her go but a new Red/Red R56 MCS is on the way to replace the beloved Project car... more pics here: https://picasaweb.google.com/AaronCornaby/MellowYellowByeBye#
Aaron, hurts to see that! Must've been quite the tree (and storm). I've seen MINI's rolled that have less damage. Good thing nobody was sitting inside
I think we can buff it out:biggrin5: Did they find a red/red in stock somewhere or do you have to order it?
It looks like the Blazer is holding the tree up at this point! I think your cars miss you, didn't your R53 die shortly after you sold it?
Oh wow man, that's painful to look at... Still gotta say it looks like it took the full force of the hit and MINI's seem to be built strong... Did that happen here in Columbus?
Glad no one was sitting in it at the time. Wow!!! Mark I respect your knowledge of body work & paint, but there isn't a buffer large enough for that job. :frown2:
So sad to see. Not an honorable way to go out, but at least no one was hurt. RIP Mellow Yellow. Annette
I see no dishonor in that Mellow Yellow's demise. Now dishonorable that tree should have been cut down for firewood long ago. Odd thing is I live not too far from there & I can not remember a tree knocking wind that day.
...sorry to have not replied earlier...this all happened in Dayton last week just hours after selling it.... and yes, my last 2003 BRG R53 was totaled a few weeks after it was sold by the kid that bought it.... and my old Land Rover Range Rover was totaled just a days after selling it too...but that time it took 3 fun loving older gentlemen with it as they were enjoying some rough mountain roads in Tennessee....VERY sad and horrible that it happened!!! Crash on dirt road kills 3 in East Tennessee so, in short, do NOT buy a car from me...or you may end up needing to get an insurance claim or be 6 feet under...
