This section became popular due to the nearby stop called The Rock Store which is huge biker hangout on the weekends and is frequented by celebrities such as Jay Leno: The Rock Store The Snake is a 2.5 mile section of Mulholland Hwy between Kanan Rd (a little west of Point A) and The Rock Store (Point B). Point A is the location of a nice turn-out where people hang-out to see the action. Of course there are always many bikes at The Rock Store but parking for cars at the Rock Store can be difficult during the weekends. For seeing cool bikes and cars the weekend is best but for driving a weekday is the best. I like driving from Kanan Rd towards The Rock Store but it is fun both directions. Be sure to stay on your own side of the road. Watch out for people driving beyond their skill level. The whole length of Mulholland Hwy is a nice drive through the Santa Monica mountains with beautiful homes and views of the ocean. During the summer the mountain range is pretty but in a desolate way (rocky and scrub oak).
