    All,

Many have asked about the ability to create a Dyno tracker and leader board. With the pending update to the site, this will be included. It is custom development for the "garages" section of the site. I don't have any screen shots of the "end" result yet. However I did want to gather feedback on what type of information should be entered. For example:
    1) Are there other options or manufactures that people should have the ability to input.
    2) Should we be tracking more things. For example, WHP, Torque, Etc.

    Sample Entry Fields
    • Dyno Manufacture:
      • Dynojet
      • Mustang
    • Dyno Type
      • Engine Dyno

      • ½ mile
      • ¾ mile
      • 1 mile
    • Road / Autocross Track Lap Times (I will need to create a list of tracks that they can add times to).
      • Would like to use a map feature to show where the tracks are located.
      • Ability to upload a track map
      • Members ideally would have the ability to add a track
      • Class – What track and what class
      • Racing organization
Again, please let me know your thoughts and suggestions while I'm in development so it's easy to change and modify.

Also, here is a quick screen shot of the field entry. Trying to make it as simple as possible.

Those are some great numbers and will be hard to beat.

While that maybe your decision, there is no reason, purpose or context for this component of the post. i.e. its not called for. :Vomit:

Oh calm down, or has M/A turned into FaceBook where you can’t post facts? What I stated is a FACT in the MINI community and has been proven over and over, time and time again.

If talking a little shit gets someone panties in a bunch or whatever maybe they should not be on the Internet and reconsider being a keyboard warrior.

    Just saying.......

Very flat but lumpy HP and Torque curves. May want to look into that tune more. :D

While I don't agree with your post for a number of reasons, it actually reminded me that there does need to be a some boundaries when discussing someone else's dyno runs. Thanks for the very clear reminder. :Pompus:

So let's get this thread back on track and add a topic with why I'm working to add the Dyno Tracker.
    1. Early on in the migration from VB to XF a few members who are heavy into tuning asked for it. Some even took the time to send me information and suggestions regarding what they would like to see tracked. (Thanks!)
    2. Personally, I have a real interest in seeing how people are tuning their cars from mild to wild. With this we can see the results of other enthusiast tuning efforts and how they accomplished them. It's a great way to learn what works, has an impact and what potentially doesn't really move the needle that much.
What is my concern with creating this forum.
    1. People attack the way someone is tuning their vehicle.
    2. Emotions fly and turns into a school yard brawl.
    3. Personal attacks verse technical discussion.
    4. Negative statements about a tuner, parts, etc by folks who have never actually used their parts.
If we are not careful this could be very hard to manage especially if it turns into a "tit for tat" forum and emotions fly. With that in mind, I think it would be good to set some boundaries and principals up front before release without being overbearing.

I'll think on this a little and I would love anyone's thoughts on it.

Instead of meth my tune needs donuts. Haven't had any so that is why my tune is on the lean & lumpy side.

Chart heading indicates it's a turbo. Any chance this is an R53 engine with a turbo replacing the SC? Then I'd like to know the date this chart was made. I know of a "Ben" that claimed numbers like these, but he's since had it de-tuned to make it driveable on the streets.

I don't have the HP to top Dave.O's chart, but I like to claim "One of, if not THE baddest, streetable, R56 in the country", and this is my latest dyno chart, along with the correction sheet (4500' elevation, etc). I know of only one other "streetable R56" that claims more HP, but there's no chart available to support the claim.

Sully, for those of us that don't know enough about dynos and reading the charts, filling in all the blanks for your proposed entry isn't gonna be easy, i.e., for Dave.O's chart --- "gain", "TCF", "ratio", ???? And this being an international forum, what about the difference between BHP and WHP, do we convert from one to the other or specify which was measured? If you want us to fill in an entry form, how about a description or definition of the less obvious items, and a little space for an explanation of the entry, like WMI ratio if not 100%. Maybe a "sticky" as part of the grouping? And where in the forum will this be located, one grouping for each gen? Maybe another requirement that we only post our own charts, not those of someone else --- UNLESS so noted.

Next time I'll try to specify the parameters I want charted --- boost and RPM.

That “Ben” chart above is an W11 RMW 1.62 motor with a Turbo.

I own the motor now and it’s sitting right here in my garage. :D:p

Here's the "de-tuned" turbo'd R53 I was referring to. Previously owned by Ben C. who had it for sale last Sept. It was in a gen 1 car and posted as a built R53. Since I'm not familiar with any of the other Mini engines, I had to look up the W11. Found one on Sneed4Speed and it's listed as replacing the R52 and R53, so I don't consider it as a threat to my claim, as long as I keep the "qualifiers" of street-able and R56.

I bet it'll be a bunch of fun tooling around town with that engine. Hope you got the turbo and the rest of the package, if it's the same engine I'm thinking of.
