Central Coast Mini Coopers is planning a nice drive in the country with your Mini Coopers. We will be driving to the Pozo Saloon for lunch. Hopefully we can see some trees or vineyards with nice fall colors. I will get the details out soon but here is the basic plan: Start 10:00 in SLO. SLO to Morro Bay via LOVR & Turri Rd. Morro Bay to Cayucas via Hwy 1. Old Creek & Hwy 46 to Templeton. El Pomar, Cripple Creek, & Hwy 41 to Hwy 229. Hwy 229 and Hwy 58 to Parkfield Rd. Parkfield around to Pozo Rd and the Pozo Saloon for Lunch. Lunch 12:00 Then Pozo Rd down to Santa Margarita and Hwy 101 back to SLO. End 2:00 in SLO. For the club's fall colors drive to Pozo on Saturday 10 November 2012 we had seven members (Mike M, Jim S, Karen B, Mike B, Heather R, Vicki D, and Mike D) in five Mini Coopers attend the event. It was a beautiful fall day so we had a nice drive on back roads through SLO, Morro Bay, Cayucos, Templeton, Creston, Pozo, and Santa Margarita. We saw some fall colors but mainly in vineyards rather than trees. I really enjoyed the portion of the drive across CA-229 which is like a roller coaster for Mini Coopers.
