There are two Auto-Xs at the Santa Maria Airport coming up in April that some of you might be interested in attending. Registration is limited to 50 cars so register early. Registration closes April 2nd if not already full. You do need a helmet. It is a fun and safe way to explore the great handling of your Mini Cooper. Pat and I from the club have already signed up for the April 5th Auto-X. We had three Mini Coopers from the club at the April 5th Auto-X at the Santa Maria Airport. We all had a great time. The Minis placed 17, 18 and 20th overall out of 50 cars. It looks like it will be a great event but I will not be there. I am going to Laguna Seca Raceway for the Monterey Grand Prix this weekend.
Pat K. and I attended the PCA Auto-X at the Santa Maria Airport on Sunday April 27, 2014. Pat also attended the Auto-X clinic on Saturday April 26th. The course was pretty fast with the Minis winding out in 2nd gear. No off-course excursions for me this time. Pat drove very well and was the fastest front wheel drive car at the event. The weather was nice (not too windy) on Sunday and we had a great time.
