If anyone is scheduled to record this weekends coverage, better check your settings. What with the change to FoxSports1 and adding FoxSports2 (old FuelTV channel) my record settings had to be changed. Conti coverage is on FoxSports2 this weekend, not sure about future broadcasts.
Scott thanks for the heads up. Changes are made. I think we are really going to miss Speed Channel. :frown5:
I went to the Kansas Speedway last night to watch practice and qually - there was free admittance and I'll bet two hundred people showed up. The weather was perfect - 70* and a slight breeze - and it ran till 10 pm, qually for both series was between 9 and 10. Usually in August, it's 100* and a million percent humiditity - IOW absolutely miserable, that's why they switched to night racing - to make it a little more bearable- but the first two weeks of this August have averaged 73*! I was disappointed that more people didn't show - considering it was frickin free - but last night was a Chiefs game, and in this town you don't schedule anything opposite a Chiefs game - which is also interesting considering their 2-12 record last year - one off MANY seasons in a row where they've been simply awful. I had high hopes when they announced they were adding a road course to the oval - visions of the infield at Daytona coursing thru my brain, but it didn't quite turn out that way. Instead, at turn one they go left thru a short s and then straight to the other end of the track, where they do a 180 and come straight back to re-enter the oval about 100 feet from they turned into the infield - back onto the oval and all the way around to turn one again - they call it 6 turns total. The Lambo's (a support race) were hitting 225 on the oval! I think the races will be a lot of fun tho, especially turn 1.......
