hey I have a friend who has a 1st Gen Cooper S and she is being told the clutch needs to be replaced at a $2500 expense. Does this sound about the right price? I don't know what year or mileage yet. There are no mods to the cooper. Thanks
:cornut: You might check with Sneed Speed in N.C. and/or Way Motor Works in Georgia. They're on the sponsor list above and are the closest to you in Palmetto Land. Jason
That sounds like dealer pricing. A Valeo clutch kit is a lot less expensive than OEM from dealer. Same quality.
almost 20k miles on my Valeo clutch kit I'll give it an and my own install that cost me ZERO $$$. :biggrin5: too bad you too far away I'll help you out!
That actually sounds a bit expensive, but sounds normal at the dealership level. At a good independent shop I've seen them priced for $1500 to $1800 for parts and labor.
Not close to you, but may be worth calling Chad at BMW Repair by Total MINI & BMW Services in North Charleston, SC | Bimmershops.com
She found a shop local to Columbia, SC that works on Phil Wicks racing Mini and they told her $1900. That is where she got it fixed. Thanks for all the info
