Curious to see if there is any interest in a College Pick'em league through yahoo sports? I have been in a league for a couple of years, but just found out that no one is setting one up this year. Here is how I would set it up: - Each week's schedule would only be made up of teams that are in the weekly AP Top 25 - Each pick would be ranked using confidence points (# of confidence points available based on number of games being played for the week) - Use their tiebreak system (which is usually picking the score of a couple of games and predicting what teams will score the most and least points that week) If there is enough interest (at least 10 people) I will get it created and post up the info tomorrow.
I went ahead a set up a league. http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/college/register/joingroup In order to join the group, just go to College Football Pick'em, and click the "Join Group" button. From there, enter the following information... Group ID#: 12863 Password: about time
They should be studying and hitting the books, so you should feel bad, B.A.D., for encouraging this kind of behavior. Jim
Jim - There is very little that I feel bad about! Nathan - I look at this as another step in your journey to becoming a Buckeye (moving to C-bus being the first step). We will have you singing "Carmen Ohio" in no time at all.
B.AD., I mentioned elsewhere at MA that my youngest daughter graduated from The Ohio State University in May '13. My oldest daughter graduated from the University of Alabama (yes, Bama!) in '10. We alternated games between Tuscaloosa and tOSU the past several years. What happens if they meet for the national title? I don't want to know...
Good to see that at least the youngest daughter got a good education! Spring graduation in the Shoe is awesome.
Graduation was in the Shoe. Obama was the featured speaker. She's meeting up with her Delta Gamma sorority sisters at tOSU for homecoming. As for the"good education".... The OSU grad intends to go to the Stetson U. College of Law in '14. She obtained a job with a law firm about 2 months after graduation. The Bama grad got her Master's Degree, holds a management position in a major non-profit, and married her fraternity sweetheart, a lawyer in the Birmingham office of a large East Coast firm. I can't complain.
I never bet against the Tide. I guess that's why I lost money on last year's game against the Aggies.
Saban started planning for this year's Aggie game the day after the loss. Count on it. I'd be very surprised if Bama lost this time around.
I set my DVR to record the "Biggest Looser" and it kept recording OSU football games. Go figure. Jim BTW: Only kidding B.A.D.
Have you ever noted the shade of Blue my car is? I've been told more than a few times a big yellow M on the side would have it destroyed on certain weekends. Not saying I am a Michigan fan, just pointing out the facts.
