It's been a while, but I'm happy to report that my classic should (I hope) soon be back on the road! Due to an unfortunate mishap involving lots of fire, my classic's engine was reduced to a puddle of slag (ouch), but now I've finally got a new engine thanks to Seven! Here's Paul (what a great guy!), getting it ready to put into the car: Paul and Jason (also a great guy!), checking to see if the drive shafts will clear (they did): The engine back in the car, with most (but not al) components re-installed: There's still a lot to do, specifically getting my new dual-carb setup modified to work with my late-series vacuum-assist braking system - that's going to be a pain to find a banjo bolt that will fit the intake manifold, drill-and-tap, etc. Plus there were some components that I left on the old engine that are now slag that need to be replaced. Hopefully she'll be alive and rolling under her own power by the end of the summer - wish me luck! Many, many thanks to Paul Strieby and Jason Pigg for all the help with the installation - I'm sure I couldn't have done it without you guys!!
Yeah, Seven seems to have done a great job from what I can see on the exterior, at least... Can't wait to try firing it up! :cornut:
I wish... it would have been fascinating to see what became of it. Probably kinda sad, too. Either way, the new powerplant looks pretty spiffy - hope it runs as well as it LOOKs. :ihih:
I wondered what had happened to your engine build.......now it can be told! Glad to see you'll be motoring in your classic again soon!
