I have been told options on the computer can only be changed at the stealer or mechanic. I have looked but can't find all the options that can be changed. Door locks, lights, etc. It there a list? Thanks Bob
If you consider them thieves, why would you patronize them? Many of us feel the term "Stealership" is perjoritave and not accurate or even earned, we'd prefer you didn't use it. 1st gen cars have to be changed at the dealership, 2nd gen are accessible thru the button on the end of the turn signal switch.
Most any shop with a GT1 or Autologic computer for BMW/MINI can make the changes. Helix, Way Motor Works and Detroit tuned can do these, they will all be at MINIs oin the Dragon. I see you are in Philly, check with Eric @ Helix. Please mention you heard it on Motoring Alliance.
You did not offend anyone important just someone with a stick up his .... They are called Stealerships because they overcharge for what they do and charge flat rate prices.:lol::lol::lol::lol: Feels free to voice your opinion any way you want. 1+ for Helix. Mike "coded" my car now my windows go up and DOWN with my remote including the sunroof. Don't let people tell you only the Stealership can do things because it in NOT true.
This is of interest to me. Are there typically multiple vendors at MOTD that offer this type of service? Jeff
Yes. Way Motor Works, Detroit Tune, Helix and several others are usually there. If you go to this link it has the list of vendors for this year. MINIs On The Dragon - Sponsors
Mike from Helix did a bunch of coding on my Coupe last year at the Dragon. Helix usually provides them on packages that you chose the codes. One price for 3 codes, slightly more for 6 codes, etc.
ah, thanks folks! I should have known to look on the MOTD site...he has everything else documented out there for sure ! Jeff
Here is a list of what I believe are all of the customizations available for the first gen cars..... I basically don't have to touch my locks at all.
