Construction on I-75 in Tenn

    At mile marker 144 the is a bit where it goes to one lane where the road was washed away. Be aware there will probably be a backup getting through this. You will see warnings starting 40 miles out while still in Kentucky.

    Being it was Saturday afternoon and truck traffic was very ole it added about 10 min. I'd imagine with normall weekday truck traffic it may add a good bit more time.

    I think it may be time to explore a few new roads on the way down. :wink:

    Is the southbound side the only one effected?

    Both directions but south more so. The southbound is reduced to a single narrow lane that is diverted to the northbound side. Northbound is 2 lanes. Speeds are reduced from 70 to 45. There was quite a bit of LEO presence.

    I agree. Might need to scout out something different on Wednesday. See if google maps can help me find a good solution.

    297 runs right along 75 and is a wideload detour. Some of us coming out of ky researched and that seems to be the best route around the construction.

    Quite welcome!

    If you want to avoid the trucks I suggest the route highlighted in Pink.

    Also, I won't be going down until Friday if I make it, the rest of my group however, will be going down Wednesday.
