Here are some link to some info on these pads. I have been running them for some time now and I have had no issues what so ever with their performance. This includes all manner of daily driving and numerous weekend, very aggressive (read smoking OEM pads......lol) "twisties" drives.

Just thought you guys would like a better alternative to the EBC/Hawk pads.

I have black matte wheels so I am just estimating the amounts of the dust, but I can assure you it is less than the Hawks I replaced them with. I have never used track only pads. I used the Hawk HP+ for one track day, hated them and switched to the CC's and did one track day with them and loved the new feel/performance. Unfortunately, I have not been able to do a track day for a couple of years now, but my "fun" drives have not shown any deficiencies so far.

As for their availabilty, I have only ever gotten them online from BavAuto.

I looked at the links you provided and not a lot of users liked the cool carbons. Only the vendors pushing them liked them.

    Where are seeing that Jason?

Same kind of ratio of reviews and posts as just about any other aftermarket product.

:cornut: The add said normally $249(complete set of front and rear wheel pads) on sale for $49. (oops bad math- should be $.20 on the $1.:blush2::blush2:) They also said close out and that they were no longer being made. Not trying to slam them just bring out several facts stated in the advertisement.

    Jason

PS-well I can't find it now but the add said: Bav. Auto. closing out 'Cool Carbon' brake pads at the above price for the above reason. It wasn't an acid flash back, I saw it.

    LOL
Just don't mix the little blue pill up with the other....:ihih: Take them in the wrong order, and you will not remember the fun you just had!

On a side-note, think the MINTEX's are being dropped cause many places in the US are requiring that brake pads be reformulated to be low in copper content or even copper-free...the dust pads can get into rivers/streams and effectively "blind" salmon (Actually blocks their sense of er...smell/taste?) trying to return to their home stream.
So Asbestos is basically banned in brakes, as is most copper/brass in the near future.....
    Wonder what will be next?
