I have a 2008 Mini S....had a heater issue a month ago..no heat...checked the recovery tank empty....put some in many 2 cups...next day found coolant on the garage floor...checked rec tank still had some..but low...added some more...more coolant on the floor....careful of my dog...removed inspected tank...coolant appears coming amidships from the dripping on the floor...any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Alex

The only thing I know to do is jack up the car and see if you where it's coming from.

Just a guess, but I'd bet on it being the thermostat housing. A somewhat common problem.

The plastic housing for the thermostat is notorious for this. So much so that they were backordered for quite some time. 2008 is going to be pretty far out of warranty, but if dance nicely with your local dealer and mention the term "Good Will Repair" when they start giving you estimate you may just have a shot.
