This weekends detail.
I washed it Friday after work and it started to rain, then sleet then a little hail all within 15 minutes. I just kept working since I was bundled up since it was already cold and a little windy. I was only washing it for today’s polish and coating.
I will post outside shots tomorrow asthe Big Black SUV is baking in my garage overnight under my powerful garage lights. Currently 40 outside, garage is at 65 degrees and I do not have a heated garage.

Wheel coating is a pain in the ass. That’s why I charge $200.00 set or $50.00 a wheel. I do it for people that want it but only a few want it.
I personally love it and have my Summer wheels done with 4 layers of Gyeon Rim. As brake dust just washes off with soap and water. I did them in the dead of winter after I had them refurbished. I had nothing to do one day, I was watching football and the wife was out of town. The wheels were sitting in my down stairs office so I turned on the TV, grabbed some coffee and went to crazy on them for a few hours.-

Well, someone just booked me a full detail (Ceramic coating) on a brand new 2019 Acura MDX all black for this weekend. SUV already has dealership installed swirls from just taking off the protective white vinyl and washing it.
I also have a real 2006 GP coming in Thanksgiving week for Full detail with ceramic coating and wheel coating.
More pictures will be posted.-

Today I told the owner of the GP to bring the title for the car Saturday because he is not getting this car back. I will give him my car and title.
Today was second coating day, trim dressing, RainX all glass and remove the wheels. This way I was able take them inside and clean, polish and coat them.
I also removed the hood vents by the wipers so I could strip, clean and coat them. Yes they are sitting on my new motor.

Great cars made to be even greater looking by a true detailing artist.
I have thought about coating the wheels but my Enkei's "spokes" are close together and it would be a real pain to remove the coating so I just use Reload on them. Does not last anywhere as long as a coating but does do a better job than something like a brake dust repellent.

I use the Chemical Guys max coat on my summer wheels, I do it each spring when I swap wheels.

Hey Dave.0, check out this video. It is 20 minutes long, but I was glued to the screen. First, it is a 993 Turbo with 500 miles on it -- my dream car. Second, three guys, seven days, 130 man hours of detailing. That is insane. But, if you have a car made of solid unobtanium, money is not an issue.

This weekends SUV tooled like death when it showed up Friday. Sorry it was a Mom’s car with 2 kids so it looked like a dumpster inside and out. I did not take before pictures, but the guys wife loved it when they picked it up today.
She did not believe it was the same car and thought her husband got here a new one, just like the old one.
Oh and the house across the street just sold for $369,000 so I guess I need to find a new spot to take pictures soon.

Dave O's detailing is second to none...truly high class. The detailing that he did on my car, Peppurr, looked fantastic, but the true worth is that it is much easier to keep clean. All I have done since Dave's work is wash it properly and it still looks as good as it did when I picked it up. Hat's off to Dave...

Look at the satin wheel treated with Gyeon Rim in the Link below.
I never use wax or sealants on wheels because the wheel gets to hot and those products do not last. You need a coating like Gyeon Rim (Link below) or just use RainX on your rims as it bonds to the wheels and replies dirt, water and brake dust.
