This truly is hard for me to write, but DoubleDownMotorsports.com is officially going out of business. I started Double Down Motorsports back in 2007 as a time attack race team. In December of 2008, after losing my commercial real estate job to the economy I decided to try and make a living out of my passion for cars so I opened the online retail store at DoubleDownMotorsports.com. I have put everything I had into this new venture in an attempt to sustain it long enough to grow into an income producing company. Unfortunately things just did not pan out and a recent sudden turn of events has made it to where I cannot afford to keep it open any longer. It has been a dream of mine to own my own company within the automotive aftermarket industry and this past year has been truly exciting. Thank you to all of my customers who made my efforts worth while. At this time I will no longer be taking any new orders for anything that I do not have here with me in my standing inventory. For the items I do have in my inventory, I am offering incredible prices in an effort to clear off my shelves and re-coup some of the money I have invested. I will update this post in the near future with a link to my “going out of business sale.†For those with existing orders on backordered items, you should have already gotten an email from me regarding the status of your order. If you have an existing backordered item with me and you did not receive an email, please let me know. I will be personally seeing your orders through until they are fulfilled.
whaaaat! that really sucks man, i hope things work out better for you in the future. dont worry, im sure that when the economy bounces back you'll be able to re-start DDM again and, who knows, by then money may be flowing. btw, will the website be down also? or is it one of those things where you'll keep selling things at certain prices until everything is gone?

Sorry to hear but kudos to you for at least trying to start up a business like this in this economy, most wouldn't have had the guts and motivation to try.
Thanks guys! Ken - Thanks for the kind words. I definitely knew I was taking a leap and actually all was going as expected. Although the business wasn't making a profit yet, I had planned for it not to make a profit until 2010. What I didn't plan for was a massive tax bill from the IRS due to a mistake (long story) on my old accountants part that drained my reserves I had set asside to keep DDM going for another ~8 months.

Wrong DDM DDMWorks, who makes your intake is still in business and doing strong. DDMotorsports is just a retailer. I don't make any parts myself, just sell other people's .
