Engine Drivetrain 1st Gen Cooper S DDMWorks CAI Question

    HI
    Just bought a use DDM CAI with that a K&N filter kit, the kit did a great cleaning
    job now I need to put the oil ,not to shure do I put the oil on the exteriror (red part) or on the grey foam only.

    I have the DDM intake on my car, but I don't know what the "gray foam" part is you are speaking of.

    Hi jbewley

    The filtering system is made in 2 parts ,the outside the part we see in red can be remove, under you have a grey foam with a spring inside,these are seperate parts.Hope that answers to your question:D

    I think you have a different filter with yours. Mine came with a regular, one piece K&N cone filter.
    On the Way Motor Works web site, they show one like you are describing called a duel foam filter and it is on an R50. Drop Way a PM and I'm sure he can help you out.

    Hi got a answer from Way Motor Works and they said on the outside (the red part) :Thumbsup:
