Engine Drivetrain 1st Gen Cooper S Did the VGS MOD/Throttle Pedal Response

I did the VGS mod on my car. No ill effects whatsoever. Gains? Well, if they exist, they're very modest. Maybe a tad more acceleration in 3rd which has seemed a bit slow. This and the DT Bypass Valve install are really just to see if the car had any issues, which it doesn't; it's running like it was designed to.

But I really would like to get something more out of the last 40% of pedal travel: there's just nothing there. Is new software the answer?
