Just wanted to give a shout-out to MINI of Dallas. For those that don't know, once a quarter they open up their service department for us (MetroplexMINI) on a Saturday morning and pretty much let us have free reign over the place. They even have Techs on hand to help with questions or bigger projects. This past Saturday we had everything from oil changes to motor mounts to full brake jobs to Mini-Fini installs. We've even had full suspension swaps, lca bushings, etc... done before. We switch off buying lunches, one time its us, next time it's them. We even had a surprise visit from the Red Bull MINIgirls! I don't know if any other d'ships allow this kind of access, but I hope, for your sake, they will. Again, big to MINI of Dallas! L----- JANGO! EDIT! Doh! Nope. Not Jango! It's a faux-Jango! Either way, many thanks to MINI of Dallas! I changed my oil and rotated the tires. I also helped w/ a few other jobs and removed a trailer hitch for a friend... not to mention eating too many mini Bundt cakes and chatting w/ lots of great people.
Next one is tentatively scheduled for Oct 23 depending on the state of the MoD move to the new location. We may be in the old shop for one last time, helping them move or the first to enjoy the brand new shop. BTW, the new shop has A/C for relief on those mid summer dates.
