Yea so this has been covered many time probably, and its basically a knockoff of the Dave F. Hybrid Induction setup to some degree, but hell im off today and bored.

I ordered a UNI Foam Filter, 2.75" Inlet/5" Long/4.5" Wide for about $19 shipped on Amazon.

Went to the local hardware store, scooped up a PVC 2" 45 Degree elbow male to female.

The male end fits smoothly into the inlet tube hole on the top of the airbox, tapped it in with a mallet slightly. Slipped the foam filter over the female end of the elbow and snugged the clamp. I already had a rectangular slot cut into the back of my airbox and cowl panel so I can suck a little more pressurized air off the cowl.

    Voila!

Stock airbox, filter, and a little more breathing power for about $25. If you have the tools spend another hour and cut you a decent size hole roughly 2-2.5inch in the back side of the airbox lid and the cowl panel and have yourself a decent CAI for a fraction of the cost of the glorified pieces sold by companies!

Full credit of the idea to Dave F, and Applesauce on NAM, I took all my cues from them.

Nice work, looks like you've made a home brewed JCW intake. Well done!
