So my engine teacher gave us a question does FI require more overlap. I would assume it means valve overlap. Thanks for the help!
Tell the teacher he is the teacher and he should know or send him the below link. Let me google that for you
What about the same when you FEE, FO or FUM a motor? Think I'll bow out now and listen to some Jazz. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEzAJJfTtBE]Wayne Shorter - Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum - YouTube[/ame]
LOL Dave! It was actually an assignment and we are doing the valves and lifters right now until we breakdown our donated motors at school and he just wanted us to to see what we could find. So i decided to ask you guys for your help/input. What I'm trying to wrap my brain around is "what the hell is valve overlap"
Check out this video, it may help explain what valve overlap, what valve overlap does and why. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pa3mKXN-tIY]Camshafts (Part 4) - Valve overlap - YouTube[/ame]
Thanks Nathan!! FI also means forced induction. I also think my teacher meant either valve overlap or cam overlap looking at my notes from the day he assigned the assignment.
