Does anybody make a door trailing edge protector out of that "clear bra" vinyl stuff? Got a couple small chips already by barely bumping them. Don't want something really obvious like those "chrome" boy racer things. Thanks

3M has a product, Scotchgard™ Clear Urethane Film Door Edge Guard .4" wide, 8 mil thick.

    UPC Number : 00051141849058
    3M ID Stock Number : 75347018857
    Product ID : 3M 84905

Many sites list it for sale. Comes in 120ft rolls and looks to be about 30 bucks a roll or so.

Ziebart has them cheap and will install them. I've had them on my MCS for a coupla years now and they work well...and are nearly invisible [Royal Grey MCS].

Can somebody who's got a 3M (or other) door protector, post pix. I just want to see how noticable (or stealthy) it is. Thanks

You can see it, the same as you can see the edge of a clear bra. More noticeable on dark cars than lighter ones.

3M often gives these door guards away for free at car shows. I've gotten them at SEMA and other events. I used to have several unused guards laying around...but not anymore. Just something to keep in mind.

The guy that did the clear bra on our Clubman just used strips of the same material to do the door edges, works fine.
