Do you have Dragonites? Do you find yourself day dreaming of North Carolina? Do you find your self trying to hit the perfect apex and stay in your lain at the same time? Do you notice that your passengers are holding on for dear life? Does your car have dents on the passenger side floor where they are putting on the brakes for you? Every time the Fedex truck comes in your neighborhood do you chase after it like a dog after a car yelling "where are my parts"? Are you detailing your car so much the paint is coming off? (you know how you are) Are you getting obsessed with making lists? If so go here MINIs On The Dragon - Home for the cure. Do it for your loved ones.
I dont get to go till Thursday!! This is killing me. We were on the way to may sons game the other day in my wife's SUV as I went through some curves I noticed she had a death grip on the handle. I was lost on the Dragon. Thats what made me think of this.
Oh its not just you...i havent been to MOTD in 2 years so it will be great to see all my old partners in crime...and i will be packing the Viking helmet again... wish i could be driving my classic mini but alas the repairs to her are taking a bit longer than previously thought but no worries...next year will be her year
I'm worried about the weather forecast. Seems to be alternating back and forth from no rain to 80% chance of rain. I'm not driving 11 hours to drive in the rain for 3 days.
Some say Dragonites are people going to the Dragon. They're kind of like argonauts that chase Jason around, except they chase backroads in Tennessee instead. Others say they are particularly sharp hemorrhoids that cause excruciating pain when sitting suddenly on solid surfaces. Dragonitis is that list you made. Nate is going to have a conniption fit and beat you with his grammar stick if you do this again.
Being as conniption noun con·nip·tion \kə-ˈnip-shən\ is a type of fit by definition. :a fit of rage, hysteria, or alarm Use of "fit" is superfluous and tautological in nature.
It's the Smoky Mountains and the weather can change from turn to turn Mountain to Mountain. I have run the Dragon when it sunny and comeback to Fontana and it's pouring and vise versa. Either way it's a great time rain or shine because people tend to drive slower in the rain and not crash as much. P.S. The best part about the rain is the slow ass Harley riders on those huge bikes the size of a Countryman stay off the roads.
I've left Fontana in the rain and stood down at Tapaco Bridge 40 minutes later in the sun. The beer and food doesn't know it's raining!
Showers is one thing. 3 days of rain with no sun is an entirely different thing. I'll be weighing my options up until 12am on the 29th.

Plus it somehow sounds more formal, and in that particular sentence, I was going for a highbrow technique. And tautology is something I embrace. Us tautologists make boxes with wires and dials and other impressive looking stuff on them and put them on our heads to get rid of bad juju. We also have a KFC triangle thing, and the chicken is excellent. Plus you get to hang out with Tom Cruise. You might want to try it.
Damn, I may be bailing on my planned Dragon trip anyway... I might be flying to Cali and buying a car instead.
You can think of it as 3 days of rain! It's 3-4 days of MINI's Friends Food Beer Cigars, need I go on??
The weather is the least of my concerns. I am leaving at 12:00 today to pick up my new-to-me 2005 R52S tomorrow morning at 9:00 am. A 4 hr. drive home and then tires, alignment, oil change, coolant flush, and brake fluid change. Then, install gauges and CD player. And hopefully sell a VW project that will never get finished, somewhere along the line. Finally, I leave for the Dragon Wed. @ 6:00 am. Let the adventure begin...
