Well, there I am, motoring down the ol' highway this morning on my way to the daily grind, when out of the back of a pickup 2 lanes over comes a piece of drywall. After about a 1/4 second of "Oh $****...." and realizing there is nothing I can do with all the traffic, I hit it. Immediately OldBlue starts telling me I've got burned out bulbs. I'm thinking what else happened. So I get to work and notice a little damage, but not terrible.

After work, I get home, put it up on ramps, and find the damage shown in the picture below. The bumper covering popped right back into place, and after a quick trip to NAPA, the parking light works again. Now I just need to find the chrome bezel around it. Any ideas (other than the dealer) on who might have one?

Thanks Jim, me too! I found the chrome surround from Penske. Part, $24. Not bad. Shipping, $10. Come on. I think I'll look around a bit yet. The dealer (Classic MINI) may have it. I'll check with them tomorrow.

I know what you mean. Often, "shipping" costs more then the item I ordered. :eek:ut:

glad it wasn't more serious. A while back I unavoidable hit what I believe to be a big hunk of styro foam. Leaves quite the nasty mark on paint and the headlamp at 65...

Thanks Nathan. That was actually the first place I went but didn't have any luck.
