This year there will be a portable dyno set up at MOTD. 3 pulls for $60.00. I would really like to know how much HP and Torque I really have, so I signed up for it. Anyone ever done anything like this? Is it reasonably accurate? Sounds like it could be fun...
That’s a fair price. I will have my done on the Helix Mustang dyno in the upcoming weeks as I am adding a larger RMW grand am CAM, ViPEC ECU, wideband O2 and Jan will tune it with Eric from Helix. Always need more power and torque because you are never done modding.
I signed up for a Friday slot. My car was on a dyno a few years ago when Jan tuned it, but it was a summer day in Florida, so I'll be anxious to get another chance when the weather is more agreeable. @Dave.0 : can't wait to hear what your car makes with the newest upgrades
This should be fun as long as no-one tries any tuning or repairs, that's one of the things where the GrassRoots guys went wrong when they attempted this a few years ago. I really hope it works out this time so it may become an annual thing. Good luck getting your car done in time Dave, I'm thrashing to be ready with my new setup as well. (It's amazing how fast the 3 months post-tax refund / pre-Dragon go by, esp with projects. )
@BlwnAway @Dave.0 I am sure you two will be ready in time for the Dragon. My new setup was so easy! All I had to do was go to Columbus and get it from Mark. I am going to replace the brake fluid with TYP200 fluid. I possibly may put on some braided brake lines and Hawk HPS. Haven’t decided if Imwill do the Dyno
My car is mechanically done already, it is just sitting inside the shop waiting for one data cable that I forgot to order and then it’s ready to be tuned on the dyno. I am in good hands at Helix. The dyno at the Dragon is just data 3 pulls. ((( No tuning )))
