Was rolling around in my mini today, and at one point couldnt start my mini almost like the battery wasnt connected. no winding, no door alarm, nothing. as soon as i touched it with jumper cables, away it goes. Got the electrical system checked and everything checked out. I found the battery cables a little loose so im hoping after i tightened them down, thatll fix that especially since the system got checked and declared ok. We will find out. I just got the call saying i can go get it. soo here we go. *fingers crossed* let it only need some elbow greese XD
I'm wondering how old the battery in your MINI is? Minis do not like bad batteries. Checking & cleaning the connections is a good idea. opcorn:
The other hidden battery connection that most miss is the jump start stud under the hood (bonnet for the A types on here). On your MINI I believe it is located on the firewall, drivers side in a black plastic box. Make sure that connection is tight and clean. Hope to see you on a Saturday. The drive, just for more information, is a family friendly event with a "bring your own lunch" outing on a great horse farm that also has a brewery on site, a swinging rope bridge, waterfalls, a wedding chapel in the woods and an outstanding view. We understand if you can't make it but I wanted to provide you with the whole picture.
Ya after tightening everything up i havent had any issues, soo time will tell. Much appreciated CHK. Ill most likely make it out on saturday, 8:30 at ? in new albany. I could be quite blind, I never rule it out. (actually my eyes are fine, but unobservant.) but i cant seem to find a location.
