1st Gen R53 Cooper S Engine cooling fan redux.....

As I mentioned before.....

My engine cooling fan low speed was gone. I called Classic MINI, told them I was about 4 months out of warranty but wanted them to at least confirm my suspicions and perhaps consider it a warranty-able item.

They said sure, bring it over but no promise on warrantying it.

So I got there bright and early Tuesday morn, they said to replace the assembly it will be $758.21. :eek6:

Zach took it into the shop and had Eric, whom I requested, look at it. It only takes a few moments to confirm, but Zach was gone for like 30-40 mins.

He eventually comes back and says "We're almost done."

I says "Ok. Is it not working correctly?"

Zach says "Yes, it's broken and by being almost done that means we're going to warranty the work and Eric is putting in the new one".

I was absolutely flabbergasted.

Classic MINI is amazing.
