    Anyone here use Epic?

I've used it twice now and both times it seems to leave a greasy film on the car... Am I doing something wrong? :confused5:

    Thx.

Not sure if what you are referring to are the uncured polymers but if after you have removed Epic and you see light/dark spots, these will go away in the coming days. It can also be minimized with a bit of distilled water sprayed on the polymers and wiped off with a microfiber towel.

If you apply Epic too thick, this effect can occur more frequently, so always apply a very thin coat. When you apply it, Epic should look like vaseline...translucent, not white or creamy in any spot.

Also, this effect is most commonly seen on dark colored paints.

Glad to hear you are liking Hydro seal Paul. It is on my shopping list.

Back to this Epic thread, a wee lil bit goes a long way. It is my favorite waxy stuff.

Less is more when it comes to most high end products, that is what make them cost effective:Thumbsup:

One: Shake the bottle well before use.
Two: Less is more. It's not cheap rum so you don't need to use the whole bottle.:ihih:
Three: Read the bottle and follow the directions.Duh.....

Were the asterisks suppose to go before the word " instructions" or after the word? :)

OK, how humid was it when you applied the Epic?

Cure time for Epic is effected by high humidity. In the fall/spring when I apply Epic, it sits for at least 12 hours before buffing it. If humidity is high, it either takes longer to cure, or may have to buff it again the next day, as it hazes as it cures.

It is almost impossible to wipe the product off, until it cures, and your wiping off excess at that point. That is why it works so well:Thumbsup:
