Engine Drivetrain 1st Gen Cooper S Facelift shift cables/lug

    As professor mentioned in this post he installed the facelift cables/lug.

    I asked why and how to do, but the question was probably missed so I wanted to start a thread on it.

    Why is this a good thing and how difficult is it to do?

    Sorry I missed the question.

    I changed because I had a broken cable. Looking at the cables the facelift stuff is much more beefy and more metal than plastic. It's not a bad job to do, you gotta lower the exhaust and heat shields.

    I don't feel a difference in shifts other that going from a b&m to a helix.
