The Garage feature on Motoring Alliance has been updated. The major update now allows for commenting on a Garage. In order to accomplish this each Garage is now a thread in the new Member Garages forum area. You may have noticed the number of unread posts has increased by about 700 some. Only those Garages that were already viewable allow for comments. If you have a Garage without a Main Image it will not visible nor will there be a thread. If you add a Main Image a thread will be generated and others can comment. Thread titles are composed of Car Name :: Year Make Model. If you did not name the car, MINI or other vehicles, the title will be composed of Year Make Model. If you have the Garage set to be not viewable or to Friends Only there is not a thread and others cannot comment. Changing the setting to viewable by all will create the thread and allow for comments. Garages that have threads in the public view will not revert to private if you remove the Main Image or set it not viewable or Friends Only. In the event you need or want to remove your Garage from having the ability to have comments please contact me or another staff member. There is also a counter in the lower right corner of the Garage now that shows the number of comments. Thanks for your patience while we worked out what is hopefully the last remaining bugs and brought the Garage and PM functions back on line.
There is also a new entry in the Garage dropdown listing. Browse Most Commented - Lists Garages by the most to the least comments.

The Help files for the latest update are now in place. You can find them in the Garage dropdown in the NavBar under Help.
Hey Nathan, can you add the "Like" feature to garages, too? That would be a cool way to quickly say "Nice garage!"
That feature is slated for a future update. M/A is the live test site for the product so it needs to be an OEM type install to show our potential clients the how's and why's of the product and to work the bugs out. Today it will be announced to our clients the update is available for download. Then we'll start getting feedback over what they want to see in future releases as well.
The Garage feature has been updated. For the most part this update is transparent. We optimized SQL queries in search to reduce server load in this latest version. All to help the site feel as snappy as possible while you navigate around.
Awesome changes to the Garage feature of the site. It's certainly easier to look at and enjoy everyone's investments. So Nathan, if I want to add my actual garage (of which the remodel is nearly completed) is there an actual provision for us to do that? IMO, it would be a very cool way for everyone to see where/how our investments re-Cooper-ate after a long day of FUN. Just a thought. Thanks again for the update!
The DTO Garage Plus product the site uses does not lend it's self to being anything more than what you see. It was designed from the outset to be a great auto/truck/motorcycle/power sport showoff tool. What about a Show Off your Garage thread?
