Thanks Rum4, but give me a fly rod, a spring creek, no people around and I'm a happy guy. Free stones are OK, but not my favorite.

I agree but I know some like to fish on the big waters. I have never been fly fishing but I would like to try it. I have been in the back country fishing with an ultra light and the solitude is great that I agree with you

Any luck? I don't fish if gloves are required to be outside.

Is it possible to be too drunk to fish?

Saw a couple of fish, mostly looking for what they feed on. Saw some Hellgramites and some other swimming Invertebrate that I couldn't ID.
The water was to cold yesterday and it was a windy 35 degrees that made it uncomfortable. This is a place I haven't fished before will have to go back when warmer. I heard on a radio show that, Walleye were caught on the upper Potomac just below Dam # 4 last week.

I fished the Potomac, below the bridge near Sharpsburg, for small mouth bass, a long time ago. Don't like fast water, as it is way too much work with a fly rod.
