    under the front of the MINI Saturday.

    Coolant.

    Warranty expires in 2 days.

    Took it to Classic this morn.

    Loaned me an '09 JAC Clubman 6 speed.

    They replaced the thermostat and more importantly the housing. Known problem. They did 4 today alone.

    All better now.

    Had them check the oil pan for any seepage. None detected.

    I don't know a 2006 MCS owner that hasn't had that work done. Some get lucky and catch it under warranty.

    Yep. My housing was fine - but the integrated rubber seal on the thermostat was deformed. Fixed under warranty.

    Second gen is totally different. We got leaky thermostats. You got clackety timing chains.
    I'll take the thermostat. :lol:

    And don't forget..............the leaky oil pan gasket.
