SOLD: 2003 MINI Cooper S JCW ("DaWorks") - 16k miles - one owner

The car for sale here is a highly customized, extremely low mileage MINI, nicknamed "DaWorks" that was the passion of one man, named Manny. Sadly, Manny passed away earlier this year and the decision has now been made that DaWorks should move on to a new home where he'll continue to be loved and cherished. To say this car has been pampered would be an understatement. You've heard about cars that haven't been driven in snow, but DaWorks was almost never driven in rain. If the sky did dare to open up while DaWorks was out, Manny would then put it up on jackstands in his garage and wipe down the entire undercarriage. You'll see in the pictures just how immaculate the underside of the car is. In fact, he was so meticulous that he didn't even drive this car with shoes on. Whatever shoes he was wearing were removed before his feet entered the car.

This car was purchased new in August 2003. DaWorks began life as a standard 2003 MINI Cooper S. After getting through the engine break-in period, a JCW kit was installed by Prestige MINI. From that point on, the "you-ifications" just never stopped. While the car has the JCW kit, and a long list of performance modifications, it was not abused as you might expect when you look at all the performance parts on the car. Manny installed the parts purely for the "bling factor". DaWorks rapidly became a show car and was actually featured in Issue #5 of MC2 Magazine, a copy of which is included with the car). Performance parts were constantly being added and replaced as he found new parts that gave him the look he was going for. The same process took place cosmetically and he was constantly tweaking the look of the car. About two years ago, he took the big plunge of getting a completely custom in-car entertainment system installed in the car. The backseats were removed from the car and completely custom front and rear speaker enclosures were fabricated. The rear of the car also features an enclosure for the stereo amplifiers. The original Lapis Blue back seats are available and will go with the car if the buyer wants them.

You will not find a car anywhere that has been more well-loved and cared for than this one. DaWorks has a current New Jersey inspection, good until June 2014 and a clear title.

There are some pictures at the bottom of this post and many, many more here: http://njbaglady.com/jcw.html

Please note: Out of respect for the care that this car has always received, and to ensure that the new owner receives the car as clean as Manny left it, no test drives will be permitted in rainy weather.

I am selling this car on behalf of the current owner, Manny's long-term girlfriend, as she didn't feel confident about being able to adequately discuss all the performance modifications on the car. She will be present at the time of sale to sign over the title.

The car can can be viewed weeknights after 5pm, or on most weekends. Please PM me with any questions or to schedule a time to come see the car.
