FS: 2005 Mini Cooper S SOLD to Crankshaft! 2005 Mini Cooper S (Electric Blue with White Roof and White Stripes) 123,560 miles Location: Dover, DE This car is a blast to drive and a fun car to cruise around in the summertime. It's sporty, handles well and has good pick-up. The S-model is also supercharged. Would make a great second car or a very nice first car if given a little TLC. Selling the car for a family member as a fixer upper/mechanic's special. The car could use a little love and some repair. There are various cosmetic imperfections (nicks and scratches) since the car was driven and parked in a city. Also, the panoramic sunroof sometimes has a little trouble closing. Title is clean and clear. What I would consider the biggest issue with the car is that it has some difficulty shifting, especially in/out of third gear. From what I've read, this is a pretty common issue with this year range. The problem could be as simple as flushing the transmission fluid and resetting the computer or as severe as needing a new transmission. I'm disclosing everything I know to be wrong with the car and am selling the car as-is. Can include very nice run-flat tires as well as excellent snow tires for the winter.
Sure seems like a deal. I just paid $3850 for a 2003 R50 with 92K on it and that was below market value here!
5 MINIs is not enough. :biggrin5: Great price and the car looks to be in good shape. Good luck with the sale.
Thank you to everyone for the kind words and friendly bumps. As of this morning, sale is pending to Crankshaft!
Looks like Chris is adding to his MINI fleet. Before long there may be more MINI's at his shop than Range Rovers!
This is to replace the wife's green one. Once I swap a 6 speed in it. She likes the blue or I would not have bothered.
If it falls through for any reason, let me know. Otherwise, congrats to both on the sale and purchase!
It's home safe and sound and parts have been ordered to bring it back to life. A little more body work than planned but it will be very nice when done.
