Not this season, I actually haven't watched much of anything. That said, I was in Paris when they won the world cup. It was absolutely bonkers. I'll see if I can dig up some pics. Frankly, scared me a little. I've never seen so many people involved in a sporting event. Absolutely crazy.
A.k.a. Silly soccer...... America really don’t care about that sport unless we can dominate it, win the Olimpics, or World Cup. We can’t, because we suck.
Liverpool plays Manchester City today. Yes they know how to put on a show when they get the smallest of whacks but some of the stuff they can do with that ball are just amazing. The other thing that allot of people don't know is that there are many smaller school districts that play "soccer" instead of football. Kinda hard to field a team when you have only 20 to 30 kids in an entire class.
Speaking of sports, if we have some strong sports and or racing fan's I can setup the ability to do pools, fantasy type leagues.
Yeah well everyone has an opinion just like they have an A-hole. I don’t care what other people think.
I was thinking more motorsports etc initially. More of a question to see if there was broader interest.
Champions League has Barcelona and Inter Milan, this Wednesday at 3, TNT. Harry Kane and company are on Wednesday at 12:55 with MU playing on Tuesday at 3. Anybody see the Thespian flop that ended up in a MU goal against Chelsea?
I guess you didn't see Purdue upset and totally humble THE Ohio State University football team and coaches last night, then....AT Purdue. What a clobbering on the field and total mayhem by the crowd in the stadium.
Suarez hit Rafinha in full stride for one the best goals I have seen this year in the Barcelona win over Inter Milan today.
I live in America and follow primarily American soccer. Seattle Sounders FC fan. Very, very impressed at the second half of the season, but I knew it was too much, too late. They were gassed at the end. Looking forward to next season, which will likely be a learning experience. New kits as well. Black and pink, foreshadowing perhaps T-Mobile being the new kit sponsor (it won't be XBOX). Not sure if black and pink is the primary, and I'm not sure what the colors will be for any alternate kits. Yes, I'm a kitnerd, as well as liking the game itself. So, until MLS comes back again, the PL (Man City) and Liga MX (Club Tijuana) are my main jams.
Yea - I played through college and some young simipro in US. At that point the goal was to be picked up by Europe. Never happened for me, but did for the guy who was better than me. I'm in ATL.. and ATL united now actually draws more people than the falcons. Never expected that in the second year. Was a good season..
I've been inpressed by them. I think their stadium is in the burbs somewhere (a former housemate in NC was from Griffin. I've been there and DTATL). AUFC did well! Hope they represent us well in the CONCACAF Champions League. Around here in San Diego, we have indoor and we have what will be called USL League Two (formerly PDL).
The Benz stadium is right down town ATL right next to where the old GA Dome was. I can see it out of my office building that's right on Centennial Park. Griffin is way south of the city, at least an hour trip one way.
