AutoExpress has published these shots of an mostly-uncamo’d Gen3 MINI Convertible out in the wild. Scheduled for release in November, just after the new Clubman and before the new Countryman. More...
If it's a drop head, dang it, drop the head. Doesn't look too bad from the rear but the blow hole is on the wrong side. No comment on the front. I'll leave that to those who can counter their impulses more gracefully.
I too am trying. The eye doc said I'm 20/20 corrected. When I see one of those I wish my vision was a bit blurrier.
You owe me $276.00. On your advice, I tried that, both lenses cracked, and the frames refuse to participate in any further in any visual endeavors.
Send me the notarized receipt, cracked lenses and frames to verify you did get real R53 colored glasses and not a cheap Mynes/M7 knockoff made by The 'STANS Once we here at M/A World HQ receive the item back and determine if they are actual R53 Colored Glasses(tm) we will make up more onerous regulations and create a chart of fees that make no sense.
I found them in an ad in MC2, right next to an ad for a MINI themed fur lined toilet seat. That should be good enough.
Oh boy a MINI themed fur lined toilet seat! Sounds much better than the faux carbon fiber M7 one I have.
There's a recall on the OEM heated one. Electrical shortage. You don't want to see the photos that came with the NHTSA report.

I just can't get past preferring the looks and driving experience of the Gen. 2 MINIs over the Gen. 3 ones. I had a new 2015 Gen. 2 Cabrio as a dealer loaner for a couple of days this week. It was a decent ride, once you got past a little cowl shake and the lack of noise isolation and insulation in the top. The temperature was subzero both days, so the electronic nannies wouldn't let me put the top down, but even on the most basic stripper-model tires, it handled really well on snow and ice.
Ummmm ... I'm talking 2nd Gen. vs. 3rd Gen., because that's my experience and perspective. I didn't see anything here about this thread being limited to Gen. 1 references.
